How to enable user customizable views for Expenditure Inquiry in Project Management
As a follow up on my previous post on the Expenditure Inquiry screen - Show employee and more information within Expenditure Inquiry in Project Management - I have another nice feature you can enable here. Within the Expenditure Inquiry functionality of your project in Project Management you are able to give the user the option to create their own views on expenditure items.
Follow the below steps to accomplish this.
First you have to enable some profile options and set it to the username who's going to do the change. Change the below profile options and set it for the specific username on value Y (for Yes).
- Create Seeded Personalizations
- FND: Personalization Region Link Enabled
- FND: Personalization Seeding Mode
- HR: Enable User Personalization
- Personalize Self-Service Defn
Click on the Personalize "Expenditure Items" link.
Click on the glasses icon for Seeded User Views of the Table: Expenditure Items node.
Click on the Create View button to create the first initial view.
Give your view a name and tick the checkbox Set as Default. Move columns from the Available Columns to the Columns Displayed listbox to built your view. Use the Rename Columns button to rename the default column name. Use Sort Settings to sort your view on max 3 sort levels. Optionally enter some filters on your view within the Search Query to Filter Date in your Table region. When done click Apply.
When you return to the Expenditure Inquiry screen you'll notice a new button Views has been added to the screen.
If the user clicks on Views a screen will open with your default view enabled. Through the Personalize button the user will have the option to create their own views.
